Recognizes women and male employees through Power Puff Girls, Wind Behind the Wings Initiatives

Gurugram/New Delhi, March 8, 2018: Home Credit India Finance Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s fastest growing non-banking finance companies, celebrated International Women’s Day 2018 with innovative initiatives focusing on theme of promoting diversity within the organization, and recognized some of its women and male employees for their successful achievements in personal and professional spheres.

In the run-up to the Women’s Day, the company launched two special campaigns namely Power Puff Girls and Wind Behind the Wings that demonstrates Home Credit India’s commitment towards gender parity, aiming towards a truly inclusive ecosystem that ensures a safe and secure working environment.

The Power Puff Girls campaign is a platform to identify and showcase inspirational stories of women employees at Home Credit India who faced difficulties and adversities in their personal and professional lives, but successfully overcame them. The Wind Behind the Wings initiative brought to the fore and recognized exceptional behavior by a male employee that makes Home Credit a safe and better place to work for women. Both these initiatives were organized at Home Credit India’s headquarters in Gurugram and other zonal offices across India. The initiatives received an enthusiastic response from employees across different levels in the organization. Of the total nominations received, success stories of 16 women and 15 male employees were selected. They will be felicitated at a glittering event today.

According to Ms. Gurmeet Kaur, Head – Ombudsperson, Home Credit India Finance Pvt. Ltd., “International Women’s Day isn’t just about women; it is more about collected efforts, shared responsibilities, collaboration and above all inclusiveness. At Home Credit, we recognize and respect the presence of diverse groups not just by gender but also by geographical, social and cultural attributes. We acknowledge and value these diversities and encourage and enable their continued contribution within an inclusive cultural context which empowers all within the organization, creating an environment which enhances creativity and innovation.”

As part of the Women’s Day celebrations, Home Credit India also partnered with SHEROES, a leading women’s community platform, for an interactive session on the theme of #PressforProgress. Gender parity is an important issue that strongly influences whether economies and societies advance. Successfully harnessing and mobilizing half of the world’s total talent pool has a huge impact on the growth, competitiveness and future-readiness of economies and organizations across the globe.
