Mumbai, May 22, 2019: The opera screening of Dialogues des Carmélites will take place on Thursday, 30th May 2019 at Godrej Dance Theatre, National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA). Produced by John Dexter and conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, this new production features the works of Isabel Leonard, Adrianne Pieczonka, Erin Morley, Karen Cargill, Karita Mattila, David Portillo, Dwayne Croft.
Set in the French Revolution, the opera is a tragedy about fear and courage in a convent. The opera is based on a historical event, following the story of Blanche de la Force, a timid woman who has sought refuge from her uncontrollable and innate fears in the Carmelite convent at Compiègne.
