India: Ducati plans to set up a riding school for owners and enthusiasts in India as part of its global programme, the Ducati Riding Experience.

According to a company spokesperson, it also plans to also start a Desmo Owners Club (Doc), a group for Ducati riders. The company also plans to expand its dealer network in India, doubling it to eight by the end of the year.

The Italian bikemaker will also organise a roadshow, showcasing its products in different parts of the country. Last year, the company opened the largest Ducati Store in the world in New Delhi.

Ducati has had a tremendous response from bikers in India. Its wide range of motorcycles including the latest edition to the Monster family (Monster 821), the Hypermotard and Hyperstrada models of the Diavel family and the 899, 1299, 1299 S and Panigale R. Last year, it had also launched the Scrambler Icon, the Scrambler Classic and Full Throttle.
