New 2016 Suzuki Access 125 launched in India at INR 53887

Suzuki Motorcycles India, the Japanese manufacturer, has launched the new Access 125 in India priced at INR 53887 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter gets design as well as mechanical changes as compared to the outgoing model. The new Suzuki Access 125 was first unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The scooter features Suzuki’s eco performance technology that helps in better acceleration and increased fuel efficiency. The new scooter is targeted at the young audience in the commuter segment. The new Access 125 will compete against one of the best 125cc scooter in the segment, the Honda Activa 125.

The new Access 125 gets a 3D emblem logo with chrome finish; chrome garnished headlamps, vertical clear lens trifficators, stylish and edgy lines across the side profile, a single long seat, grab rails and LED taillights. The scooter gets telescopic front forks, optional disc brake at teh front and drum brakes at the rear. The new Access 125 gets longest seat in the segment as well as the largest under-seat storage space and a wide floorboard. The scooter gets nifty front pocket and an optional DC socket for charging.

The scooter flaunts a retro looking multi-function instrument cluster, steel front fender and leg guards for protection. The scooter also gets 12-inch alloy wheels with wider tyres. The Access 125 is offered in 5 colour options that include Candy Sonoma Red, Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue No.2, Metallic Matt Fibroin Gray, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White.

Powering the Suzuki Access 125 a 125cc single cylinder petrol engine producing 8.58bhp of maximum power at 7000 rpm and 9.8Nm of peak torque while transmission duties are carried out by a CVT gearbox.

At this price point, the new Access 125 is a worthy competitor for the Honda Activa 125.
