The much awaited 2016 Skoda Rapid facelift has been launched by the Skoda India starting at Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Skoda’s new Rapid facelift will be available with three different variants called Active, Ambition and Style. Those who are looking for its petrol variants will have to pay in between Rs 8.27 to 11.36 lakh. Whereas, its diesel variants will range from Rs 9.48 to Rs 12.67 lakh.

Skoda India has launched the 2016 Rapid facelift with prices starting at Rs. 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Rapid  will be available in three variants, namely the Active, Ambition and Style. The prices for the petrol variants ranges from Rs. 8.27 lakh to Rs. 11.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Those looking for the diesel variant of the new Rapid, Skoda has priced it from Rs. 9.48 – 12.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

What’s new in the all new 2016 Skoda Rapid facelift

The new model of Skoda Rapid gets elegant and sharp exterior styling, most changes are made at the front of the car. The headlamps have become bigger and angular as well, while the grille also looks much elegant now, with chrome outline and wider frame.

Masculine lines on the bonnet are also there in the new model unlike the old one, which makes the car look more elegant and attractive.

The design is little bit similar to Octavia but a lot of changes have been made to the car to make it look better and attractive.

New Skoda Rapid is equipped with cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, as well as a MirrorLink touchscreen infotainment system, restricted to the top variant and comes with AUX, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and a whole lot more.

The updated Skoda Rapid has 1.5-litre TDI now, which  makes around 5bhp more over the outgoing Rapid, churning out 108bhp of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque available between 1500-3000rpm.

The car comes with 5-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Talking about mileage, it gives an average of 15.41 km/l with manual transmission, while with automatic transmission it can give up to 14.84 km/l.

Moreover, fuel efficiency figures for the diesel manual and automatic are 21.13 km/l and 21.72 km/l respectively.
