Between Takes – Press Release

“I am a product of literature and art, I am nothing without literature, I am nothing without art.” said Vicky Kaushal, leaving everyone contemplative and awestruck.

The third edition of SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce’s LitFest 2019 began with the curtain raiser event “Between Takes” with the critically acclaimed actor, Vicky Kaushal.
The event began with a musical performance by Jonita Gandhi & Arjuna Harjai, who debuted their first duet, ‘Humraahi’, together on stage.
Vicky Kaushal spoke very candidly about his life journey and his work, interacting with the audience and breaking the fourth wall every now and then. On learning about his journey and his connect with literature and art, everyone around was inspired.


His ingenuity and his charisma captivated the audience, leaving everyone mesmerized. The event was a success, ending on a great note with Dr. Anju Kapoor, the principal of UPG College and Vicky Kaushal launching the festival dates, 28th and 29th November, 2019.
UPG’s LitFest 2019 has been officially declared open and welcomes people from all age groups and from all walks of life.

UPG’s LitFest is a non-profit and non-competitive celebration, that epitomizes the ethos of art and literature. Organised by the students of the college, LitFest 2019 is a grand attempt at providing a platform where art and artists thrive. The festival is fuelled by the desire to encapsulate a diverse and multi-faceted audience.
