We see that there is a huge boost in the startup culture in India. However, we still need to work on enabling the space for women entrepreneurs. India ranks 70th among 77 countries in the female entrepreneurship index, and only 33 percent of the early stage entrepreneurs are women.

I would say in spite of the abysmal scenario, the future can be better if we have the right and supportive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs and better information pertaining to the schemes and policies by the government for boosting women led startups and enterprises. Another factor that could help with increased uptake of successful women entrepreneurship would be to get women entrepreneurs visibility in right forums and their capacity building specially in tier 3 and tier 4 cities.
