India Business Group (IBG) organised a successful post-Union of India Budget 2017 talk, titled Budget 2017 Analysis of Tax Implications. This superb Post Budget analysis and talk was given by Navneet Munot, Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer, SBI Funds Managment Pvt. Ltd. The venue for this talk was, The Good Wife, Bandra-Kurla Complex. The attendees included the press, business professionals and more than 100 IBG members. The talk was chaired by Vikash Mittersain, Founder and President IBG.

Navneet Munot’s budget talk focused on all aspects of the Union Budget 2017 and primarily discussed the tax implications and digitization drive of the government. He also detailed how digitization, along with demonitization is a major event of world, something not seen or even possible in some other major economies of the world.

His basic premise was that the budget is very good for the long term and it will also help  uplifting of the poor and farmers.  He said that India is already on the way to long term strong growth, and everyone should be positive towards the economy. Other topics that came up during the talk include GST and its implications, increase in the expatriate community coming to India in a big way, FDI and start ups.The talk ended with a Q & A session, where Mr. Munot, answered all the questions, doubts and queries from the audience. The Q & A session also had other panellists contributing to a healthy discussion with the audience.
