For Hollywood animation movies in India, 2016 is already turning out to be a blockbuster year in terms of brand associations.
Finding Dory, the latest Disney Pixar release, has struck gold with a record 16 brands partnering with the movie for promotions, marketing and merchandising relationships. The associations account for about Rs 20 crore worth of media value for the studio.
Myntra, Macmerise, Bioworld, Parragon India, My Baby Excel, Hamee, Hamleys and Firstcry have partnered with Disney to launch brand merchandise and ecommerce tie ups. The associations include branded consumer products across categories like apparel, toys, bedsheets, mobile covers, mugs, frames and books. Meanwhile Colgate and Yakult have also tied up for media promotions.
The latest animated delight from Pixar and Disney that will release on 17 June in Hindi and English in 2D, 3D and IMAX formats across 600 screens in India.
