Helps us understand your opinion about current Education trends in India.

India offers a great potential for our growth. We are witnessing a great turn out by corporates, as now they are clearly seeing the value proposition in hiring trained tech talent. The whole idea behind Geekster is to bridge the skill gap for students and offer trained talent to employers, thus creating a win-win for all stakeholders. The aspirants trained through our platform are performing well for employers. Thus, we are witnessing a high demand from corporates for our trained talent. Also, many of our existing partners have already shared hiring requirements in high numbers. So, we are looking to upskill over 1,000 students in the next two quarters.”

Tell our readers the importance of technology to make quality education

Undoubtedly, the introduction of technology in the domain of Education has encouraged overall growth in students. Technology has made education more exciting, enjoyable, and easily accessible at the same time. Additionally, tools have enabled visualization, and taken the overall interactiveness a notch up.

Earlier if a student had to clarify a doubt while studying, he or she would wait for the next day, however, with technology coming into the picture he can now easily access the support over chat or refer to the entire video lecture.

With the help of technology, a learner can study not only at the comfort of his room, but the availability of online resources is also saving precious time and money.

How technologies can create a sustainable learning model for educational institutions

After Lockdown, one thing was identified that e-learning is the future. The convenience and quality which was not out there was to be integrated better into the traditional education system. Here, edtech players supported the institutions with the framework and the content. A lot of offline educational institutes turned phygital to a greater extent.

However, the truth is that in a country like India where the population is huge and extending education is still a big task, reaching students is something that just cannot happen without technology. But nobody really acted upon it until edtech itself came to the forefront and during the pandemic became a reliable support.

Post COVID how online education has impacted the formal offline education system in India?

This is the era of innovations and high-end technology, nearly every day new ways are devised for easing out complex processes. COVID-19 has made tech industry restore to digital spaces for their workflow. Education, work and interviews are taking place virtually and we believe it is going to stay even after normalcy returns.

Help us with your view on why India is projected as the education hub of the world?

India is poised to be a global education hub. Also, with the government introducing major policy changes, the biggest challenge our youth face is the lack of in-demand skills. The reason for this is that our higher education has not adapted to the changing Industry requirements. The new-age entrepreneurs are trying to address this gap through different models making skill-based education accessible to the masses. However, a lot more needs to be done. The launch of the digital university is a great step. It will increase the penetration of quality education even in the remotest areas at affordable price points.
