Helps us understand your opinion about current Education trends in India.

The ongoing pandemic gave a necessary boost required for online education, where most education institutes were forced to go online as a necessity. Some of the major trends developing in Education are:

  1. Gamification and Engagement: As more and more kids spend more time in games, gamification in learning becomes a necessity and new pedagogy of content delivery will evolve where learning is gamified.
  2. Byte Size Learning: The attention span of users is reducing over the years. Video-based learning materials which were 60 minutes have gone through changes to 30 min, 12 min, and now 5 minutes. A lot of content will be re-done to make it shorter and adaptive to the newer generations.
  3. Personalization and Adaptive Learning: Personalization and adaptive learning to use AI/ML will play a significant role in education. Virtual Tutors, Adaptive Content based on learner needs and level, and systems automating doing repetitive tasks allowing faculties more time will allow online education to scale across the cities cost-effectively.

Tell our readers the importance of technology to make quality education

Personalized Learning allows learners to learn at their own pace, style, and level. Traditionally, in a classroom situation, faculty teaches to a group of learners, who in themselves, may have distinct levels of understanding, as well as different learning styles. With online learning using AI/ML and adaptive learning techniques, learning can be customized for each individual learner, allowing them to learn at their own pace and style.

How technologies can create a sustainable learning model for educational institutions

Technology allows institutes to scale their business and allow them to reach across the countries cost-effectively. Blended distant learning models of Live + Self-paced allow flexibility for faculties and students to interact virtually giving them comfort in their location and time. Institutions can get the best faculties in the subject across the world, and provide the required eco-system which defines the structure, discipline, and certification for course completion. Distance and culture would not be any more barriers to scale with people connected through technology and allowing institutes to scale across countries.

Post COVID how online education has impacted the formal offline education system in India

While many online initiatives have been in place for the last 10 years, the Covid pandemic has allayed all doubts about the necessity of online education. In the K12 segment for lower grades, formal education will continue in the same manner, with slight changes. As the pandemic is slowly fading away, in Higher Education, a blended model of education will emerge. Online/Virtual classes blended with self-paced learning where all activities are done remotely, with limited physical classroom events. This will allow education to scale across the country and hence will become the primary mode of education in the coming years.

Help us with your view about why India is projected as the education hub of the world

For starters, India is the second-largest English-speaking country in the world, which makes it a lot more accessible to those who are looking to pursue an education in one primary language. Due to the tightening competition and demand for jobs that require a specific set of skills, students of all ages are looking to upgrade their education constantly. This would explain why there’s been a sharp rise in demand for upskilling and reskilling courses.
